Stanley "Stan" Allen Haynes

Stanley Allen “Stan” Haynes, 66, Kokomo, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at his residence.

Born November 17, 1959, in Logansport, Indiana, he was the son of Larry Joseph Haynes and Penny (Harrison) Haynes. On July 15, 2011, at New Life Church in Kokomo, Indiana, he was married to Sandra Doss Sensel Haynes, who survives.

Stan was an active member of New Life Church in Kokomo, where he spent many years greeting people every Sunday as they walked through the front door. He graduated from Logansport High School in 1978 and furthered his education at IU-Kokomo, where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration. For over thirty years he worked for Kokomo Pottery Company. He had also worked at the Kokomo Academy and was currently employed at IU-Kokomo. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and enjoyed cruising around on his many bikes over the years. He enjoyed going to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and loved the opportunity to ride his motorcycle around the track. He was an IndyCar racing and IU basketball fan who loved feeding his squirrels and spending time with his family—especially his grandchildren.

Along with his wife Sandra Haynes, Kokomo; survivors include their children, Stephanie Bender, Macy; Sarah Haynes, Bunker Hill; Steven (Robin) Sensel, Peru; and Geoffrey (Meggen) Sensel, Lee Summit, Mo.; his father, Larry (Brenda) Haynes, Monticello; grandchildren, Isabella, Andrew, Alexxis, Collin, Lucy, Tatiaunna, Dezmond, and Bethany; and great-grandson, Boston Boyd.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at New Life Church, Kokomo, with Pastor Devin Galloway officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Logansport.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday, at the church.
