Doris Ann Wilkinson, 84, Macy, passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester.

Born March 9, 1930 in Fulton County, Indiana, she was the daughter of Don and Mary Hart Merley.  On September 2, 1950 in Macy, Indiana, she was married to Leslie Emerson Wilkinson, and he survives.

Doris retired from North Miami Community School Corporation where she had worked in the Superintendent’s Office for forty-seven years.  She loved spending time gardening.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children, Gregg Wilkinson and his wife Pauletta, Peru; and Nancilee Spangler, Macy; four grandchildren, Heather Jorgensen and husband Tim, Westfield; J.C. Wilkinson and wife Lisa, Borden, Indiana; Amanda Spangler, Carmel; and Michael Spangler, Fort Wayne; and 7 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Stephen Michael Spangler.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at McClain Funeral Home with Chaplain Jason See officiating.  Burial will follow in Plainview Cemetery, Macy.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
