David A. Walker, 61, of Denver, Indiana passed away unexpectedly on January 2, 2017.

David was born on April 14, 1955 in Peru, Indiana, one of five children born to Louis “Gene” and Gertrude (Gearhart) Walker.  He was a graduate of North Miami High School.  He worked at the Chili Elevator for 25 years and recently worked for Conagra.  He liked to tinker with his 44 Harris-Massey tractor.  Most of all, David loved spending time with his grandbabies.

David is survived by his mother Gertrude Walker of Peru, IN; daughters Rachael (Mark) Corne of Denver, IN and Kristy Haffner of Missouri; brothers Larry (Julie) Walker of Denver, IN, Roger (Rena) Walker of Peru, IN, and Harvey Walker of Denver, IN; and his grandchildren David and Michael Stewart and Angela Corne; as well as one little granddaughter due any day.

He was preceded in death by his father and brother Danny J. Walker.

A gathering with the family will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2017, from 2:00 – 5:00 PM at the McClain Funeral Home, Denver.
