Virginia Lee (Godfroy) Malott

Virginia Lee Malott, 85, Denver, Indiana, passed away at 8:26 a.m. on Monday, June 1, 2020, at her residence.

Born May 28, 1935, in Peru, Indiana, she was the daughter of Louis Lynard Godfroy and the former Marjorie Foy.  She was married to Sammy William Malott on August 2, 1952, and he preceded her in death on December 17, 1988.

She was a member of the Oklahoma Miami Indiana Tribe and the Miami Nation of Indians, Peru.  She loved to read, cook, plat flowers, and spending time with her family, and attending church.

Survivors include her children, Stacey L. Wilkinson (partner, Louis Myers, Jr), and Steve (Patricia) Malott; eleven grandchildren, Chad (Crystal) Clark, Cristy Wilkinson (partner, Josh), Shane Malott (partner, Angie), Jenny (Jason) Worley, Ryan Malott, Steven (Carmon) Malott, Amber Malott (partner, Shane), and Jeremy Malott; twenty great-grandchildren, and brother, Michael Galbreath.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Robert L. Malott, and one daughter, Ramona Malott.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2020, at Westlawn Cemetery, Denver, Indiana, with her son, Steve Malott officiating.
