Joyce Ellen (Dillman) Marburger

Joyce Ellen Dillman Marburger, 92, Peru, stepped into Glory at 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, October 11, 2020, at her residence. 
 
Born March 29, 1928, in Miami County, Indiana, she was the daughter of Vern M. and Dora E. (Wilson) Dillman.  On January 24, 1948, at the home of the late Rev. C.F. Golden, near Denver, Indiana, she was married to her high school sweetheart, Willis Dale “Bud” Marburger. 
 
She was a 1946 graduate of Deedsville High School, and she worked for over thirty years with her husband at their concrete business.  She was a member of the Denver Baptist Church, and she enjoyed working in her flower garden, crafting, and cooking for her family.
 
Survivors include her husband of seventy-two years, Willis “Bud” Marburger; son, Michael Joe (Kyletta) Marburger, Peru; grandchildren, Jeff (Kelly) Marburger, Jason Marburger, Jessica (Mike) Shannon, Melissa Marburger, Mindy Marburger (Ray Drew), and Kyle Marburger; great grandchildren, Conner and Lucas Shannon, Nicholas Magee, Morgan Wimmer, and Lydia, Alexis, and Gracelyn Marburger; siblings, Carol (Bill) Wray, Frankfort; Vern Dillman, Mesa, A; Janet (Ralph) Gunter, Talma; Judith Ladson, Rochester; and Karon Hoover, Twelve Mile; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 
 
She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Dale Marburger, and sisters, Betty Rogers, Marilyn Craft, Joan Landis, and Letta Goodman. 
 
A private family service will be held Thursday, October 15, 2020, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, Indiana, with Dr. Mark Spencer officiating.  Burial will follow in Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Cass County.
