Devon Biggs Obituary

Devon “Jake” Biggs, 89, Deedsville, passed away at 2:13 p.m. on Thursday, July 15, 2021, at Sycamore Village, Kokomo.

Born on October 17, 1931, in Logansport, Indiana, he was the son of Dee Devon Biggs and Fern J. (Patchett) Biggs.  On August 28, 1959, in Peru, Indiana, he was married to Roberta L. Dickerhoff, and she survives. 

He graduated from Macy High School, where he as a member of the basketball team.  He was a tool and die maker and retired from B. Walter and Company in Wabash, retiring at age seventy, having worked for same company for over fifty years.  He was a United States Navy veteran, serving during the Korean War.  He enjoyed mowing his yard, dogs, feeding and watching birds, working crossword puzzles, going to garage sales, and savoring the sweet taste of a delicious doughnut.  

Survivors include his wife, Roberta Biggs; daughter Deb Sutton; two sons, Randy Biggs, and Tim Biggs; one granddaughter, Jessi (Wesley) Brooks; and one great-grandson, Braxton Brooks.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved dog, Buddy.  

Visitation will be from 5-7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 19, 2021, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver.  

Private services will be held for the family.  Burial will be in Deedsville IOOF Cemetery.
