Beverly J. “Becky” (Wilson) Hagan, 86, Denver, and formerly of Lafayette, passed away at 4:43 p.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at Dukes Memorial Hospital, Peru.
Born February 20, 1936, in Lafayette, Indiana, she was the only child of Virgil L. and Mary Alice (Sherman) Wilson. On February 23, 1991, she was married to Elmer Joseph Hagan, and he preceded her in death on September 15, 2014.
She was a graduate of Jefferson High School in Lafayette and retired from Lafayette Life Insurance Company in Lafayette, where she worked in the underwriting department. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Peru and formerly attended St. Boniface while living in Lafayette. She was a member of the Peru Moose Lodge, Daughters of Isabella, and the VFW and Knights of Columbus auxiliaries. She had volunteered as a Pink Lady at Dukes Memorial Hospital and enjoyed sewing with the ladies at St. Charles. She was full of life and was always laughing and smiling.
Survivors include two daughters, Dawn (Doug) MyKrantz, Gaston, South Carolina; and Allison (Rusty) Platt-Sloane, Lafayette; four stepsons, Mike (Carol) Hagan, Fishers; Steve (Sharon) Hagan, Denver; Jeff (Patty) Hagan, Peru; and Todd (Debi) Hagan, Denver; and twelve grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 30, 2022, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 58 West 5th St., Peru, with Fr. Adam Mauman officiating. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. on Friday at Tippecanoe Memorial Gardens, 1718 W 350 N, West Lafayette.
Visitation will be from 3-7:00 p.m. on Thursday at McClain Funeral Home, 3500 West State Road 16, Denver, Indiana, and one hour prior to the service on Friday, at the church.
