Ronald D. Kenworthy, 59, rural Denver, Indiana, passed away peacefully at 12:45 a.m. on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at The Waters of Peru.
Born February 7, 1966, at Puntam County Hospital, in Indiana, he was the son of Donald and Della (Munday) Kenworthy.
Ron was a lifelong truck driver, spending most of his years on the road hauling logs. He loved riding and breaking horses, and previously rodeo’d and rode broncs for about five years. For several years he worked with his parents, who owned their own carnival, he then went on to work with Eberle’s Amusements and Burton Bros. Amusements.
Ron enjoyed a good bonfire and having a beer with friends. He loved spending time with his family and telling stories; he also enjoyed listening to music, especially bluegrass and old country songs, or spending time driving around out in the country, typically in an old ford truck.
He was married to Katherine Fisher Kenworthy on March 30, 1985, and she survives. He is also survived by one sister, Donna (Steve) Gorbett, his three children, Ronald (Emilea) Kenworthy, Poneto; Josey Kenworthy, Somerset; and Catrina (Kory) Hunter, Kokomo. He is also survived by one grandson, Cleyton Kenworthy, and four bonus grandchildren Kiara, Katlyn, and Kyle Converse and Isla Wiles, as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parent; three sisters, Marsha Kenworthy, Beverly Biddle, and Kathy Brewer; and one brother, Donald Kenworthy, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver. Burial will follow in Paw Paw Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
