Robin Eugene Burns, 54, Vincennes, formerly of Macy, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023, in Vincennes.
Born May 2, 1969, in Peru, Indiana, he was the son of David W. and Linda L. (Hightshoe) Burns.
He graduated from Caston High School in 1987 and later from Vincennes University where he studied Mortuary Science. After graduating and becoming licensed, he worked as a funeral director at Brockman Funeral Home in Vincennes, which later became Gardner-Brockman Funeral Home. Currently, Robin was working for Vincennes Industrial Supply, where he had worked for many years.
Survivors include his mother, Linda L. Burns, Rochester; aunts, Barbara Shea, Wabash; Doris Bush, Plymouth; Barb Burns, Florida, and Diane Burns, Macy; uncles, Richard (Jane) Burns, Macy; and his uncle, who was his father’s twin-brother, Daniel (Cheryl) Burns, Wabash; in addition to many cousins and friends whom he loved like family.
He was preceded in death by his father, David Burns; grandparents, Amel E. and Dorothy Hightshoe, and Robert and Cora Burns; uncles, Bernard Burns, Robert Burns, John Burns, and Steven Hightshoe; and aunts, Peggy Hightshoe, and Anna Coleman.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, Indiana. The service will be live-streamed at www.mcclainfh.com/livestream. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery, Denver, Indiana.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
