Robert E. Sopher

Robert E. Sopher, 55, Macy, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday evening, October 6, 2026, at his residence, after a battle with esophageal cancer.

Born March 14, 1971, in Peru, Indiana, he was the son of Roger (Lonetta) Sopher, and the late Barbara (Booth) Gross.

Robert attended Peru High School. He enjoyed helping run a lemon shakeup stand during festivals, watching truck and tractor pulls. He also enjoyed helping Amish friends.

He is survived by his daughter, Brittni Wyatt, Peru; father, Roger (Lonetta) Sopher, Huntington; grandson, Braden Wyatt; brother, Roger (Kari) Sopher, Jr., Muncie; and Michele Vance, Kokomo; along with many nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by his sister, Tonia Lynn Shockey, and his paternal and maternal grandparents.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
