Robert (Bob) Sivits, 83, of Peru, Indiana passed away peacefully at his residence with his family by his side on June 22, 2023.
Bob was born June 24, 1939, in Andrews, Indiana.
He was employed at Maggard Construction as a heavy equipment operator for many years and then fully retired from Tyson.
He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, cousin, and friend.
His favorite past times were spending time with family, his grandkids, great grandchild, bingo, fishing, watching his grandkids play sports, telling stories, and driving “supervising” around Peru.
He is survived by his only daughter Robin Sensel and her husband Steve Sensel both of Peru, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild, Isabella Luke-Peru, Andrew Luke-Kokomo, Alexxis Luke, (ggc) Boston Boyd both of Kokomo, Collin Sensel-Peru, Lucy Sensel-Peru, one brother, Charles Sivits, 92, of Gulfport, MS, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father Edith L. Sivits (Green) and Von Harry Sivits, five brothers, Von Harry Junior, Ralph Eugene, Glenn Neal, Sidney Joseph, Jerry Wayne, four sisters, Donna Elizabeth, Ruth Ann, Jean Ellen, and Mary Edith.
The family would like to send a special thank you to his very special caregivers at heart-to-heart hospice.
A celebration of life will be held at Miami Indian Bingo Hall, 80 W 6th St. Peru, Indiana. Saturday July 22, 2023, 12-3pm, bring your favorite side dish (this is a pitch in lunch). And if you would like to come back and play Bingo with Bob, we would be happy to have you! Enjoy a night of fun with him at one of the placeshe loved the most!!
And if you would like to wear a white T-shirt or Green Bay Packers gear in honor of Bob.
