Richard Ray Fitzpatrick

August 1, 1926 — November 2, 2014

Richard Ray Fitzpatrick, 88, Macy, passed away Sunday morning, November 2, 2014.

Born August 1, 1926 in Pulaski County, Indiana, he was the son of Thomas “John” J. and Blanche H. Grock Fitzpatrick.  On April 12, 1945 in Peru, Indiana, he married the former Irene Clemons, and she preceded him in death on August 4, 2012.

He was a member of the Perrysburg Baptist Church for over sixty years.  When the church closed, he and Irene became members and attended the Deedsville United Methodist Church.

A United States Army Veteran, Richard served our country from 1944-1946.  Richard retired from Amtrol-Thrush where he had worked for twenty-three years.

He is survived by three children, Peggy Lynn Rockey and husband Bill, Peru; Kevin Ray Fitzpatrick and wife Sheila, North Manchester; and Stanley Jay Fitzpatrick, Macy; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and sisters, Sue Dillman, Kokomo; Roberta Roth, Ft. Wayne; Marlene Kline, Mexico; and Kay Fisher, Peru.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Leonard, Leon, and Thomas Fitzpatrick; and sisters, Patricia Allman, Margaret VanDalsen, and Katherine Thompson.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 5, 2014 at McClain Funeral Home, Denver.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Mexico.

Visitation will be from 4-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
