Pauline Marie Youmans

Pauline Marie Myers Youmans, 90, Peru, passed away at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Blair Ridge Health Campus, Peru.

Born March 30, 1921 in Walton, Indiana she was the daughter of Clarence Edgar and Edna Alma Slusher Myers. On August 10, 1946, she was married to Lester Howard Youmans, Jr, and he preceded her in death on February 13, 1975.

In 1938, Pauline graduated from Peru High School. She later worked for an abstract company at the Miami County Courthouse.

Pauline was an active member of the Mexico Church of the Brethren where she played piano, taught Sunday school, and participated in many of the women's fellowship projects, especially making baby comforters. She enjoyed sewing, traveling, running around with the girls and playing dominoes and other games. She was also a member of the Psi Iota Sorority.

Pauline leaves behind her beloved family, three daughters, Barbara J. Daniel and husband Rick, Proctorville, Ohio; Nancy E. Woytinek and husband A.J., Monticello; Rosemary C. Clemons; one son, Richard Dale Youmans and wife Pam Berry, Greentown; ten grandchildren, Mike Daniel and wife Anne and their son Paul, Paula Daniel, Joe Daniel, Leslie Jackson and husband Chris along with their sons Daniel and Andrew; Katy Lawson and husband Nate along with their sons Ryan and Matthew, Roger Powell, Maryann Miller and husband Justin, Janet Riley and husband Mike along with son Micah, Joelle Orem and husband Jared, and Emma Berry Youmans.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Donald E. Myers, one son-in-law, Rex Powell, and one daughter-in-law, Teresa Youmans.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 30, 2012 at the Mexico Church of the Brethren with Pastor Dave Beebe and Chaplain Jason See officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Mexico.

Visitation will be held from 1-5:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 29, 2012 at the church.
