Paul Arnold Eaton

Paul Arnold Eaton 76, Peru, Indiana, passed away at 1:25 P.M. on Monday, October 20, 2014 at his residence.

He was born on December 23, 1937 in Ridgely, West Virginia, the son of Clayton Roy and Virginia (Leasure) Eaton.  On September 6, 1964 in Peru Indiana, he married Mary Reed and she survives. He was a United States Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War.

Paul retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of service and later retired from Civil Service at  Grissom Air Force Base, Peru, Indiana. He was a member of the VFW, North Miami Booster Club, and the American Legion. He coached Babe Ruth Baseball for many years and softball at Northwestern and North Miami High School and Jr. High Football at North Miami.  He was a member of the Chain Gang during football season. He had been a member of the Peru Municipal Golf Course and Leaning Tree Golf Course. In his spare time he enjoyed golfing and traveling to watch his granddaughters play sports. He was an IU Basketball fan and avid Notre Dame Girls Basketball fan and long time season ticket holder.

Survivors include his spouse, Mary Eaton, Peru, Indiana, daughters, Kim Eaton, Peru, Indiana, Jean and Husband Mark Lefebvre, Mexico, Indiana, four grandchildren, Megan, Ashley, and Marley Lefebvre, Mexico, Indiana, Jordan Eaton, Peru, Indiana, and one sister Julia Miller, Baltimore, Maryland. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Frank Eaton and sister Cheryl Brown.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:07 P.M. Friday October 24, 2014 at McCLain Funeral Home, Denver, Indiana with Pastor Barry Humble officiating.  Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M.  until the time of the service at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Veterans House of the Richard Roudebush VA Medical Center, Indianapolis, Indiana.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.mcclainfh.com.
