Nina Arlene (Coffing) Warner Lynch, 95, Rochester, Indiana, passed away at 10:55 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at Life Care Center, Rochester, Indiana.
Born October 2, 1931, in Cass County, Indiana, she was the daughter of Jacob Russell and Goldie Pearl (Wiles) Coffing. On August 5, 1951, at the Metea Baptist Church, she was married to Raymond Eugene Warner, and he preceded her in death on March 31, 1983. She was then married on September 28, 1996, at the Mexico Baptist Church, to Max Eugene Lynch, and he preceded her in death on July 14, 2022.
Nina was a graduate of Metea High School in 1948. She spent many years working on the family dairy and put her homemaking skills to work baking pies, cakes, and other baked goods for local restaurants, orchards, and family members. She decorated many cakes for weddings and fair competitions. Nina loved socializing and visiting with people and spent many years utilizing her conversation skills as the local Avon salesperson and later a greeter at the Rochester Wal-Mart.
A woman of great faith, Nina was an active member of Perrysburg and Mexico Baptist Churches (Community Church of Mexico), where she played the piano or organ, served as a deaconess, taught Sunday school and Bible school, or directed the youth music programs. She loved sharing her love for the Lord through music and even after a stroke had taken her ability to speak, she was still able to play hymns to continue to praise her Savior. She was very proud to be the Love Gift Chairperson for the American Baptist State Convention, and was always the first person to raise her hand if it was in service to her Lord.
Nina was also active in her community. Over the years, she drove a school bus, worked with local 4-H programs, Miami County Home Extension Club, high school music programs, and just about any other activity in which she was asked to participate. She loved to write poetry and was proud to have published two books.
Survivors include her children, Nancy Warner (Marie Wolfe), East Lansing, Michigan; Greg (JoEllen) Warner, Twelve Mile, Indiana; Leah (Cecil) Enyart, Rochester, Indiana; and Hal Jay Warner, Macy, Indiana; step-son, Kevin (Karen) Lynch, Gary, Indiana; grandchildren, Jeremy (Julie) Warner, Twelve Mile, Indiana; Tyler (Mindy) Enyart, Westfield, Indiana, Erika (Alec) Craig, Mentone, Indiana; Jaime (Greg) Descoteaux, Logansport, Indiana; great-grandchildren, Natalie Warner, Vincent Warner, Alec Swank, Aiden Swank, Audrey Enyart, Zachary Enyart, Alec (Alllison) Descoteaux, Jules Descoteaux, and Colsen Craig; and one sister, Joan Coffing, Indianapolis.
