Miami Consolidated School District, and as a founder of the Miami Co. Soil and Water Conservation District. She served in many elections as an election judge. In her fifties, Nina became a licensed private airplane pilot. She took pride in her homemaking, cooking, and sewing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Robert L. Musselman, and one grandson, Ryan L. Musselman. She is survived by her daughter, Janet; her brother, Donald Carson, Peru; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
