James Michael Nice

James Michael “Mike” Nice, Sr., 65, Peru, passed away at 11:04 a.m. on Thursday, July 5, 2018, at Dukes Memorial Hospital, Peru.

Born December 11, 1952, in Peru, Indiana, he was the son of the late William James and Iona Grace Nice.

He is survived by his wife, Gracie Nice, Peru; and five children, Jeffrey Keown, Florida; Lisa (Dennis) Sharp; Buford “Bo” Nice, Michael (Rachael) Nice; and Gloria (James) Luke, all of Peru; ten grandchildren; and siblings, David Nice, Terry Nice, Richard Nice, Larry (Toni) Nice, and Jeff Nice, all of Peru; Tim (Michelle) Nice, LaPorte; and Penny (Alan) Young and Becky (Bobby) Brandt, all of Knox.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Linda Keith; brother, Tommy Nice; and son, Johnnie Keown.

There will be no services or visitation.  Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Peru.
