Guy Ronald "Ronnie" Mathis, Jr.

Guy Ronald Mathis, Jr., 55, Peru, Indiana, passed away on Monday morning, June 29, 2026, at his residence.

Born March 20, 1971, in Peru, Indiana, he was the son of Guy Ronald Mathis, Sr. and Bonnie Jean (Biggs) Mathis. On July 3, 1999, in Peru, Indiana, he was married to Denise Ann Ousley, and she survives.

Ronnie had grown up in Peru, Indiana, and had attended Peru High School. He had worked at area factories in Peru, Indiana. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, Spiderman comics, and tinkering with different projects to keep him busy.

Surviving are his wife, Denise Mathis, Peru; furbabies, Casey and Flip-flop; four sisters, Robin (Paul) Jeffs, Metea; Rhonda Ousley, Peru; Regina (Darin) Patton, TN; Randi York, Rochester; brother, Anthony Mathis, Florida; father-in-law, Obie Ousley, Peru; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jeremiah Mathis; nephews, Richard James Wright, and Alexander Van Daele; and furbabies, Polly and Rocky.
