Georgia M. Personett, 95, a resident of Blair Ridge, Peru, passed away at 7:25 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009, at Marion General Hospital, Marion. She was born in Miami County on Nov. 26, 1914, the daughter of William H. and Ruth A. Murphy Brewer. On Nov. 28, 1935, she was married to Melvin R. Personett, and he died March 5, 1971.
Mrs. Personett graduated from Peru High School in 1932. She was a homemaker and worked at J.C. Penney in Peru for 18 years. She was a member of Erie United Methodist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Norma E. Le Master and husband Ronald, Bunker Hill, Marilyn J. Fisher and husband Raymond, Peru, and Barbara R. Personett, Peru; two sons, Glen I. Personett and wife Alma, Knightstown, and John E. Personett and wife Norma, Nappanee; 14 grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, eight step-great-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Velma Brewer, Peru.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Flavius J. Brewer; two sisters, Louise Fouts and Helen Payne; and one great-grandson Maxwell Jay Fisher.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, with Pastor Warrell Law officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Cemetery, Denver. Friends are invited to call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. McClain Funeral Home is located at the junction of U.S. 31 and Ind. 16 in Denver.
