Bruce Edward Thorrington

Bruce Edward Thorrington, or just “Edward” when he was in trouble, of rural Chili, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023, at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.
Born November 10, 1947, in Peru, Indiana, he was the son of Russell G. “Rabbit” and Patricia Waggoner Thorrington.  On April 2, 1975, in Mexico, Indiana, he was married to Izinia Sue “Zanie” Conley, who preceded him in death on November 24, 2012.
Bruce attended North Miami High School and retired from Bryan Steam in Peru.  He was a veteran having served in the United States Navy.
Survivors include four children, Crystal Denise Bradford; Ashkum Weasaw (Andrea) Thorrington, Linda Gail Bolanos, and Carol Leigh Wells; grandchildren, Michael, Nikiyah, Devin, Stephen, Benjamin, Chico, Ryan, Liana, Aubrianna, Miracle, Matthew, Andria, Madison, and Adrianna; and siblings, Tammy Aguirre, Phil (Rhonda) Thorrington, Peru; and Phyllis Thorrington.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell Thorrington and Patricia Vance; stepmother, Nellie Thorrington; and a granddaughter, Yesenia Guerrero.
Private burial will be in Gaerte Cemetery, near Gilead.  McClain Funeral Home, Denver, Indiana, has been entrusted with arrangements.
