Peggy Lynn (Fitzpatrick) Rockey

Peggy Lynn Rockey, 70, Peru, passed away at 6:08 p.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2019, at Blair Ridge Health Campus, Peru. 

Born October 23, 1948, in Miami County, Indiana, she was the daughter of Richard and Irene Clemons Fitzpatrick. 

She was married to William l. Rockey, and he preceded her in death on February 3, 2016.

She was a graduate of North Miami High School in 1966, and attended Ball State Teachers College.  She loved to crochet and spent many hours making blankets and hats that she donated to charitable causes.  She was an avid reader, especially Stephen King novels.

Survivors include two children, Brian R. (Brooke) Robertson, Peru; and Michelle (Greg) Jones, Ft. Wayne; three grandchildren, Trevor Robertson, Peru; and Emma and Riley Jones, both of Ft. Wayne; two brothers, Kevin (Sheila) Fitzpatrick, North Manchester; and Stan (Linda) Fitzpatrick, Macy; two stepsons, William (Helen) Rockey, Jr., Oregon; and Jeff (Janice) Rockey, Peru; and one step-grandson, Skiler Rockey, Peru.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 12, 2019, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, Indiana, with Pastor Kenn Freeland officiating.  Burial will follow in Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Cass County.

Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
