Danna A Bonfiglio

Danna A. Bonfiglio, 49, Kokomo, passed away Monday morning, January 13, 2020, at Loyola University Medical Center, Maywood, Illinois. 

Born May 20, 1970, in Kokomo, Indiana, she was the daughter of the former Joellen Howard and the late Daniel K. Bonfiglio.  On June 26, 2014, in Kokomo, Indiana, she was married to Lorna D. Harbaugh.

Danna graduated from North Miami High School in 1988.  She then went on to earn degrees in education from I.U. Kokomo and Indiana Wesleyan University.   She taught for several years at Carroll High School, Flora, Indiana, before returning to North Miami High School, where she taught English.  

Survivors include her wife, Lorna D. Harbaugh, Kokomo; parents, Joellen and Jim Sharp, Peru; sister, Nikki (Darryl) Pugh, Peru; several nephews, including Dawson and Trace Pugh, Peru; mother-in-law, Rita Harbaugh, Kokomo; brother-in-law, Dave (Angie) Harbaugh, Russiaville; and sister-in-law, Beth (David) Wittenbach, Russiaville.  Also surviving are her beloved furbabies, Jasmine, Emma, Ozzy, and Mimi.  

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 20, 2020, at Trinity Episcopal Church, Logansport, with Father Clark Miller officiating.  

Visitation will be from 1-7:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 19, 2020, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to “Danna Needs Us” benefit account.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Before her passing, Danna wanted to thank all those who gave of their time and resources to help with the benefits, fundraising, and other support during her illness.  She reflected upon a quote from The Diary of Anne Frank, realizing from the support that was given to her in her time of need “that people are really good at heart.”
