Richard Alan Runkle, 69, Peru, passed away at 11:40 p.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2016, at Hickory Creek of Peru, Indiana.

Born October 1, 1946, in Miami County, Indiana, he was the son of Charles A and Marjory Evelyn See Runkle.

He was a member of the Macy Christian and a 1964 graduate of North Miami High School.  For many years, he was an independent truck driver.

Survivors include his children and siblings, Tammy Dock, New Castle, Indiana; and Karen Buell, and husband Gary, Kingston, Tennessee; and Nancy Desmound, Cartersville, Georgia; Rich Runkle, and wife Brenda, Wabash, Indiana; Randy Runkle, and wife Sheila, Macy; and Terry Runkle, and wife Joann, Kyle, Texas; as well as five grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Dennis Robert Runkle.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 10, 2016, at Plainview Cemetery, Macy, Indiana, with Pastor Doug Emberton officiating.
