Marjorie Marie O’Connell, 88, Kokomo, formerly of Wabash County, passed away at 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 18, 2015, at Wellbrooke of Kokomo.

Born August 30, 1927, in Hammond, Indiana, she was the daughter of Steven and Ruth Cutshall Patkus.  On March 29, 1947, she was married to Claris Lee O’Connell, and he preceded in death on June 13, 1998.

Survivors include two sons, Danny L. O’Connell and wife Annette, Cutler; and Michael D. O’Connell and wife Jana, New Paris; three grandchildren, Angi O’Connell Bone, Fishers; Bruce O’Connell and wife Stephanie, Elkhart; and Shane O’Connell, New Paris; four great-grandchildren, Blake and Bo O’Connell, Elkhart; and Danielle and Nathan Bone, Fishers; two sisters, Vivian Pugh, Peru; and Mary Hughes, Illinois; and one brother, Charles Patkus and wife Beth, Disko.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Steven “Reno” Patkus, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 22, 2015, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.
