Kenny W. Townsend, 52, Peru, was called home to Jesus on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at his residence.  He loved the Lord and saught refuge in His arms throughout his battle with lymphoma.  “Well done, my good and faithful servant, your work on earth is done.”

Kenny was a Private First Class Unit Supply Specialist in the United States Army, having served from 1981-1987.  He was employed as a member of the Floor Coverers Local Union 364 for the last fifteen years. Kenny enjoyed fishing, hunting, hiking, mushroom hunting, nature, and music.

He is survived by his loving wife, Darlene; his daughter Cheree’ Townsend; step-son, Kyle Brothers; step-daughter, Kaitlin Brothers; and his granddaughter, Amryn Townsend; brothers Lonny (Angel) Townsend; Joe (Susan) Townsend; Hank Townsend; and sister, Monica Townsend; mother-in-law, Irene Caracanas; step-father, Dave Hissong; ten nieces and nephews; several friends; and a dear friend, Glen Vigar; as well as many other friends, co-workers who loved him very much.

His father, Hershel Wayne Townsend and mother, Dana Joelle Riggle Hissong, preceded him in death.

Private services will be held at a later date.
