Jeanette "Butch" S. Robinson

August 2, 1926 ~ December 16, 2014 (age 88) 88 Years Old


Jeanette S. “Butch” Chaplin Robinson, 88, Kokomo, formerly of Mexico, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Waterford Place Health Campus, Kokomo, Indiana.

Born August 2, 1926 in Syracuse, New York, she was the daughter of Edward and Eva Wood Hunter Johnson.  On August 5, 1945, she was married to Robert Chaplin, and he preceded her in death on November 24, 1971.  She was then married to Victor Robinson, and he too preceded her in death.

She was a lifetime member of the Eagles, VFW Auxiliary, and had been a member of the former Mexico United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren,  BINGO, and playing Wii bowling.

She is survived by her children, Diana Kay Greer, Peru; Sandra S. Flowers and husband John, San Diego, California; and Barbara J. Eby and husband Timothy, Sharpsville;  her grandchildren, Chester Greer and wife Jennifer, Denver; Zane Greer, Peru; Janet  Baker, San Diego, California; Sharon Pavey and husband Scott, Russiaville; Hans Eby and wife Melody, Tipton; eight great grandchildren; sisters, Virginia Bryant, Syracuse, New York;  and  Merle Plumpton, Syracuse, New York.

In addition to her husbands, one son, John Edward Chaplin; one granddaughter, Melissa Flowers; five sisters; one brother, and special mother-in-law, Bertha Brown, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 19, 2014 at McClain Funeral Home, Denver with Pastor Chris Duncan officiating.  

Visitation will be from noon until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association or the Alzheimer’s Association.
